This Privacy Policy explains how Uzox ("Uzox", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you add, access, or use the Uzox Discord application, website, dashboard, support channels, premium features, or related services (the "Service").
Uzox is operated by Moquent, who is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us using the contact details at the end of this policy.
information we collect
We try to collect only what is reasonably needed to operate, protect, and improve the Service. Depending on how you use the Service, this may include:
- Discord account, server, channel, role, interaction, and permission identifiers.
- Commands, settings, preferences, queues, saved items, history, and other content or metadata needed to provide requested features.
- Basic usage, diagnostics, device, log, security, and error information.
- Support messages, reports, feedback, and related contact information you choose to provide.
- Subscription, entitlement, transaction status, and billing-related metadata when needed to provide paid features. Payment details are handled by the applicable payment provider.
- Information from third-party integrations only when you choose to connect or use them, and only as needed to provide the requested feature.
activity information
To run, measure, and improve the Service, we keep a record of how it is used. Each record is tied to the Discord user and server involved. This includes:
- Commands you run and the options you choose, buttons and menus you use, and search queries you enter.
- Tracks that start, finish, or are skipped, sessions that start and end, and how long music played.
- When people join or leave a voice channel while Uzox is playing in it, and how long each listener was present.
- Votes on top.gg, Spotify account linking, and Premium events such as plan views, checkouts, purchases, renewals, and cancellations. For purchases we receive your name, email address, and subscription status from our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy. We never receive your full card details.
- When Uzox is added to or removed from a server, and errors or failed actions involving the Service.
website information
When you visit uzox.xyz, we record how you use the site so we can improve it:
- Pages you open, the website that sent you (without its path or query), campaign tags in the link you followed, how long you stay, and whether a Discord login succeeded.
- What you click, hover over and scroll to, a sampled path of your pointer and scrolling, which sections of a page you see, and whether you focus and change form fields. We do not record what you type, except the text you enter in the commands search.
- Technical details: browser, screen and window size, language, time zone, device and connection hints, page performance (Core Web Vitals) and script errors.
- The approximate country Cloudflare reports for your connection.
These records are linked to a first-party cookie named uz_sid (30 days) and, if you log in with Discord, to your Discord user ID. Website analytics are on by default. You can opt out at any time through "privacy choices" in the site footer; your choice is stored in the uz_consent cookie for 180 days. If you opt out, or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we remove the uz_sid cookie, store nothing about your visits, and only count anonymous page views and page-speed measurements. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
We may process information automatically through Discord, our hosting providers, databases, analytics, security tools, payment providers, support tools, and other service providers that help us operate the Service.
how we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Store and apply server settings, user settings, queues, premium status, and feature preferences.
- Respond to support requests, reports, abuse, security issues, and legal requests.
- Prevent misuse, enforce our Terms, protect users, and protect the Service.
- Debug, monitor, measure reliability, and develop new or improved features.
- Understand which features are used, why sessions end, and why servers remove Uzox, so we can decide what to build and fix.
- Comply with applicable law, platform rules, and third-party requirements.
We do not sell Discord API data. We do not use Discord API data for advertising networks or data brokers. We do not use message content obtained through Discord APIs to train artificial intelligence models unless Discord expressly allows it and applicable law permits it.
legal bases
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the features you or your server use, including Premium.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Service secure and reliable, prevent abuse, and understand and improve how the Service and website are used. We weigh these interests against your rights, and you can object at any time (see Your Rights). For website analytics, you can object directly with "privacy choices" in the site footer.
- Legal obligation: to keep payment and tax records and to respond to lawful requests.
sharing information
We use these service providers to run the Service: Discord (platform), Hetzner (hosting), Cloudflare (network and access protection), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Spotify (when you connect it), and top.gg (votes).
We may share information:
- With service providers that help operate, secure, host, analyze, support, or process payments for the Service.
- With Discord, platform providers, payment providers, rights holders, or other third parties when needed to operate features, investigate abuse, enforce terms, handle reports, or comply with applicable rules.
- If required by law, court order, legal process, or a good-faith safety, security, or rights-protection need.
- In connection with a merger, transfer, reorganization, or similar change involving the Service.
- In aggregated or de-identified form that does not reasonably identify you.
retention and deletion
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required for security, backups, dispute resolution, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or enforcement. In particular:
- Activity and website records are deleted after 400 days.
- Service logs are kept for up to 90 days and diagnostic traces for up to 30 days.
- Database backups are kept for up to 7 days for daily copies and 4 weeks for weekly copies.
- Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information, and to object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us by email or through the official Uzox support server. We may need enough information to verify the request, and we respond within 30 days. Some information may remain where retention is required or permitted by law, platform rules, backups, security, or legitimate operational needs.
The /historysettings command lets you turn off listening history. It does not cover the activity information described above; to object to that, contact us.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If the Service is removed from a server, related server settings and operational data may be deleted or retained for a limited period for backup, abuse prevention, audit, or restoration purposes.
security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No internet service, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
children
The Service is not directed to people under the minimum age required to use Discord in their location. Do not use the Service if you are not allowed to use Discord. If we learn that we have collected information from someone who is not allowed to use the Service, we may delete it.
third-party services
The Service may interact with Discord and other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, policies, or practices.
international processing
Our servers are hosted mainly in the European Union. Some service providers, such as Discord, Cloudflare, and Lemon Squeezy, may process information in other countries, including the United States. Where the GDPR applies, those transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version is effective when posted, unless a later date is stated. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
